Yoga Nidra (free class)
Yoga Nidra is an experimental tool for introducing mental, emotional and physical relaxation. During the practice of yoga nidra, students are lead through a rejuvenating, restful practice alleviating stress and physical tension as well as cultivating clarity and creative inspiration. This meditative class is conducted with students lying or sitting comfortably and requires no previous yoga experience; anyone can participate and be restored, recharged, and rejuvenated.

NIA: Neuromuscular Integrative Action with Megan Charles (free class)
NIA is a unique system of body/mind exercise that draws from tai chi, dance, martial arts, and yoga. You will find yourself dancing to your own beat while you sweat away tension and stress. NIA naturally motivates you to find your own level of fitness. Suitable for all types and no dance experience needed.

Belly Dance Basics with Shems
This class will introduce basic belly dance vocabulary, isolations and musical phrases. There will be some cultural background given and a simple choreography will by taught. Special attention will be paid to proper body alignment, and clean execution of movements. Open to all levels.

Technique and Musicality with Shems
Steps and movements are taught built into musical phrases. Focusing on building both dance vocabulary and musical connection, this class will also delve into transitions between movements, rhythms and cultural context. Previous belly dance experience required.

Belly Dance Fundamentals with Shems
This class will cover basic belly dance technique with special attention to the details, such as posture, arms, feet, head and body angles. Some more advanced techniques will be introduced. This class is aimed at experienced belly dancers who want to deepen and refine their movement quality and polish or to dancers who have studied with other teachers and would like a primer on Shems technique to better prepare them for more advanced classes. Some choreography will be utilized as a teaching tool. Music, rhythms and culture will be discussed. Open to all levels, but will be a little more challenging to the novice than the Intro to Belly Dance class.

Belly Dance Essentials with Shems
This class will build on basic belly dance vocabulary learned in "Intro to Belly Dance", introduce more difficult techniques and explore musicality more deeply. Various special focus topics will be covered. This class is meant to be taken continuously for about a year. Open to all levels.
