Health Risk Appraisal
Health Risk Appraisal
The cornerstone of any good Wellness program is a thorough and enlightening appraisal of your current health. The Health Risk Appraisal will help tailor your wellness priorities while providing valuable information and education on vital health topics like: blood pressure, cholesterol, diabetes, nutrition, exercise, smoking, injuries and managing stress. We use optimal health benchmarks and rely on the foremost scientifically based research. Done annually the HRA will drive participation and improve lifestyle habits while monitoring progress and evolving health risks beyond normal success rates. This lifestyle management tool is one of the critical keys to lower health claims and controlling insurance costs.

MAC Membership
MAC Membership
At the heart of our approach is the concept that all parties, the employer, the employee and the MAC should invest in Corporate Wellness. The MAC will match an employer’s subsidy of $10 or $20/month — doubling the effect of the employer’s contribution, while the employee pays the balance, saving up to $40 every month on an already affordable membership. This is a win-win situation. The employer looks good, while more and more employees are motivated to participate due to the increase in savings. Participation typically doubles with a subsidy. This program applies to both MAC flagship locations in Timonium and Harbor East. MAC subsidies have already been applied in the form of lower dues at MAC Express locations.

Additional Membership Benefit:
MAC is a founding member of the Elite Sportsclub Network (ESN). ESN was founded in 2005 with the mission of providing added value to the members of the participating ESN Clubs. This unique partnership allows members of participating ESN Clubs to enjoy reciprocal use of all other ESN Clubs up to 3 times a month. Participating ESN clubs also offer a matching subsidy, extending the value and benefit of this option to the facility that’s right for each employee — even if it means membership in a club other than the MAC.

Programs
Programs
Not every employee can or will become a health club member. For those, a program targeting a specific goal or health issue may be the best solution — not just for the employee, but the employer as well. For example, losing just 10 lbs (or X% of body weight) has been shown to increase productivity in the workplace by 15-20% or more. Similar to membership, if an employer subsidizes programs (i.e., weight loss or rehabilitation) MAC will offer “member pricing” on those programs to the employer’s entire workforce, whether they are members or not.

My Wellness Online
My Wellness Online
A final option for Corporate Wellness from the MAC beyond membership and programs is “My Wellness”, and online portal for education, physical activity and nutrition, offering customized self-structured exercise programs and daily meal plans based on the user’s favorite foods. “My Wellness” is available to all MAC members and program participants. For those employees who can’t participate in either club membership or a targeted program, “My Wellness” can be made available through the Employer’s web site. This innovative and affordable option makes lifestyle change and risk management available to every employee, regardless of location or means. Employers can provide “My Wellness” for non-member employees for just $10 per month if done selectively, or at a substantial savings if provided to all employees not already participating in membership or programs.
